First impression was clean location, quiet area, well kept, safe and looks like the motel/ inn was recently renovated / updated. Really great that pets were accepted. Checking in was easy with the front desk and alot of free parking. Beds were comfy, bathroom was good. Nice shower and clean rooms. The rooms had microwave and mini fridge. Feedback would be that the bathroom door would need a lock, need a better updated microwave and mini coffee maker. Other than that, the stay was enjoyable with the cool amenities in the back by the river, the local Kyburz lodge tavern. Luckily we packed our own food and drinks ahead of time since we know that grocery and restaurants were about 25- 30 mins away. We would definitely come back and stay again!
Had a really great experience. Room accommodations are modern and clean, and well-priced. The location is very convenient to access hiking and snow tubing in the area. Would definitely stay again.
Inn appears recently remodeled. Very clean rooms with wood-like floor which was great for our dog and would be nicer than carpet in the snow. Small shower with shampoo/conditioner and shower gel on the wall which smelled great and worked well. No tissues provided in the room. Room had a good sized fridge and a small microwave and coffee maker and they provided packets of tea, hot chocolate and coffee plus a couple small bottles of water. Beds were made with quality bedding but the pillows were fairly flat and the mattress more firm than I prefer. Overall, a great place and would stay here again when passing through
I stayed at this place like 20 years ago under different ownership, and A LOT has changed. The newer owners have put a lot of work in to renovating this place and it shows. The rooms are comfortable, the bed and pillows we had were perfect, and the portable A/C kept the room cool, it was a little loud, but it helped to drown out the road noise. The staff was friendly and accommodating, giving us extra time by the fire pit/ river to hang out and talk. There are some really cute outdoor areas, and the location can’t be beat, it literally has a river in the backyard. There’s a cute tavern/coffee shop next door that we were lucky enough to be able to check out before the owners take a sabbatical for a few months. I will be back for sure at some point. Family friendly, pet friendly, and close to a lot of destinations.
What a nice motel that appears to have been redone lately. Beds were comfy, TV works, bathrooms clean. Location on the river is great for our twin 11 year old boys. We will stay there again for sure
Great hotel! Staff were very accommodating. Loved the AC in the room, I can't sleep without white noise. The location has the best of both worlds, positioned perfectly for a quick sleep on a long drive AND is beautiful to rest at and enjoy the scenery for a long stay. Room was very clean and updated, has a really nice rainfall showerhead! Super soft beds as well, I wanted to sleep all day in that thing. Thank you for a restful stay!
I was surprised to see that this is rated as a two star hotel, should be at least a 3.5. It has been very recently upgraded. Rooms are clean and spacious, check-in is a breeze, quiet at night and the location is great. Rooms 9 and 21 have a beautiful view of the river. There are benches and chairs all over to sit and enjoy. Highly recommended if needing a place to stay on Hwy 50
What a find! Very clean hotel, beautiful surroundings and pleasant experience. Rooms are comfortable and the amenities are great for families staying there (fridge, microwave, coffee maker). The location is fantastic for skiing at Sierra at Tahoe resort. Service was great and the staff made it welcoming.
